About Us

Built by Someone Who Gets It.

GutWise Health was created by a Registered Dietitian who lives with IBS every day — because the best tools come from people who actually need them.

Meet Akhila Nair

Registered Dietitian & Nutritionist · IBS Patient · Low FODMAP Specialist

I know what it's like to sit at a restaurant scanning the menu with dread, wondering which dish will send me home early. I know the exhaustion of explaining to friends that "it's not just a stomach ache." I've lived with Irritable Bowel Syndrome for years — and it changed the trajectory of my career.

As a practicing nutritionist and dietitian, I specialized in low FODMAP dietary management not just because the science fascinated me, but because I needed the answers myself. I saw firsthand how confusing and isolating the FODMAP journey can be — even for a trained clinician. If it was hard for me, I knew it was nearly impossible for someone without a nutrition background.

That realization became GutWise Health: a tool built from clinical knowledge and lived experience, designed to give every IBS sufferer access to the same evidence-based guidance that changed my own relationship with food.
